The IFAA requires your assistance please.

We are trying to place more and more information on our web for our archers.

This has now included historical information about the IFAA and the years before the IFAA became in being.

To create more interest in our past, we now will include the pocket patches of all the logos of the IFAA sanctioned events.

There appears to be a concern by our archers that WA and IFAA are discussing a merger of the two associations.

This is based on uninformed gossip and is not true !

The IFAA delegation, consisting of Urmas Kukk, Alessandro Salvanti and the IFAA President are discussing with WA representatives ways of unifying Field and 3D rules as well as accepting similar rules for similar styles thus allowing archers an easier X-over to each other’s tournaments without having to change archery equipment.

Discussions were halted because of this unfortunate misunderstanding and misconception but we will continue with our discussions this month.

IFAA President: Loet Smit

This year again extensive time was spent to discuss the way ahead for the IFAA and our relation with World Archery and after some concerns were addressed the general consensus was to proceed with discussions with World Archery on better cooperation and potential leveling out of the playing fields so that archers from both associations may participate in events of both associations without having to learn new rules and change equipment.

Various other issues were discussed and will be addressed at the World Council in Argentina in October this year.
