These tournaments all have their own specific rules and guidelines. The 2017-2018 IFAA Book of Rules (Constitution) with all changes shown in Italic.

The IFAA 2017/2018 edition of the “Book of Rules” shows changes to the 2015/2016 edition in Italic text. The new edition will be applied from 01 January 2017!

Archers must be aware that some changes are single words in the old text and they are therefore advised to take great care if these rules and regulations are translated into their home language.

Please make note that only the IFAA English version is the official version and that translated versions are simply to assist local archers to understand the rules better.

The 2017/2018 edition contains various major amendments to the 2015/2016 version, including but not limited to:

  • The introduction of the Tradition Recurve Style
  • The complete change in the Champion of Nations event, which now also applies to the WBHC.
  • The acceptance of the “bubble level” incorporated in the pin guard in the BU and BL shooting styles.
  • The complete rewording of the IFAA Official Rounds, including improved graphics, as well as the “rotation rule” for easier understanding. No changes were made in these rules.
