The IFAA only recognises records that are shot in IFAA sanctioned events with fixed marked distances, e.g. the Indoor, Field and Hunter Round. The rounds with varied marked distances and those with unmarked distances are recognised as "Best" scores. The IFAA only recognises two types of record/best scores: World records/best scores and Regional records/best scores. World records/best scores can be shot at the World Championships and at the Regional (Continental) Championships. Regional (Continental) records/best scores can only be shot at the regional Championships and only by those archers who are affiliated in that region. (i.e. an Australian archer cannot hold an European record, unless he resides in Europe and is a member of an European member country). National Championships are not sanctioned by the IFAA and record scores that are shot in these events can only be recognised as national records/best scores and not as Regional records/best scores. Only those scores that are recorded on the official event score sheet will be considered for records/best scores. The responsibility for correct score recording lies with the event organisers and their score recorders. All archers attending such events are advised to check that their scores on the official event score sheets are correct. The IFAA accepts the official score records to be correct and no claim against the IFAA can be filed in the case of incorrect scores or missing scores.
